Here at Zus & Co, we would like to let you all in on a few secrets on how to best care for your Zus & Co hand made leather shoes. By following these steps below, we can ensure you that you will get the longest lasting wear out of our branded shoes for your little ones.

 

- Be sure to avoid direct sunlight when storing them as this can cause colour fading to the leather.

- Try to avoid getting them wet. If they do manage to get wet, use a dry and soft cloth to gently wipe the surface moisture, and then place them in a dry and ventilated place.

- They are not machine washable.

- If you get the mud on the leather, wipe it gently with a soft cloth.

- Do not rub them on rough ground as wear and tear such as scuffs are to be expected.

- Keep them stored in a dry and ventilated place to avoid moisture.

- Avoid contact with oils.

  

All of our shoes are 100% soft genuine leather, hand made with no nasty chemicals. These shoes are colour dyed onto natural leather, which can leave imperfections and marks being the very greatest characteristics of genuine leather. Genuine leather is a very soft and comfortable leather which can help protect your baby's soft feet. It is very normal for genuine leather to become scuffed when it has been worn for a long time, with this being said all of our leather that we use has been tested to conform to the strict European standards.

 

For children of different ages, we provide outsoles with different degrees of softness and hardness. (For babies, since their feet are still soft and developing, and while they are also still learning to walk, we have chosen to have a soft rubber outsole on our shoes for them. For toddlers, we have found they are able to manage walking in hard rubber soles better, so we have chosen to use a hard rubber outsole on our shoes for them). Shoe sizes 3 and 4 are our soft outsole shoes and and shoe sizes 5, 6, 7 & 8 are our hard rubber outsole shoes.
